| Infant charred to death, mother critical in stove blast | | | Jammu, Apr 29: Jammu Apr 29: An infant girl (2yrs) was charred to death while her mother received critical burn injuries when the stove exploded in Arnia here today. "The deceased has been identified as Gudia(2yrs) while critical injured has been identified as Pinky w/o Sonu, sources said.
As per sources, the incident took place when the woman was cooking food and her daughter was playing around her mother. "Suddenly the stove exploded leaving the girl charred to death and resulting critical burn injuries to the woman, they added. "Neighbours rushed to the spot after hearing the explosion and shifted the duo to the Govt Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu where infant girl was declared as brought dead, sources said. They said that treatment of the woman with critical burn injuries was in progress but her condition is stated to be critical.
