Jammu, Apr 29 : Jagti migrants held a meeting under the chairmanship of Ravinder Raina to take stock of some of the burning issues and problems. During the meeting, it was apprised that a delegation of JMWC had met the Chief Minister last year and discussed various issues and Chief Minister Omar directed the J&K Bank authorities to open J&K Bank branch at Jagti Township and accordingly a Branch was established in a shop. "Since then many representation were made by the inmates as well by the Bank authorities to Relief Commissioner for already indentified land for construction of full-fledged Bank, they said and lamented, "unfortunately, Relief deptt yet has not shown any serious concern to address this problem." Speaking on the occasion R L Raina criticized Relief Commissioner on recently constituted advisory committee to monitor the development works in the camps and said these committee members even do not know where these camps are located and what problem they (migrants) are facing. He emphasized that the real representatives of the camps must be given this responsibility to see the problems in the camps. He said that Relief commissioner is avoiding the camp inmates by telling big lies and is not willing to address the genuine issues of the camp. While addressing the meeting, Veer Ji Belove said that Zonal/Camp Commandants staff are harassing the people without any reason and higher authorities should take note of the their activities. "They urged Relief commissioner to provide generator to Hr Sec School Jagti, where more than 400 students are studying, he said. T K Dhar, Vimal Ji, Poshkar Nath, Sanjay Ji, Vinod Tikoo, Santosh ji, Ravi Ji, Moti Lal, Hadey Nath, Chuni Lal and Rattan Lal also spoke in this meeting |
