| Accidental blast on PMGSY road in Padder injures 5 labourers | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Apr 29 : In a tragic incident in remote Sanyas area of Padder Tehsil in Kishtwar District, five labourers engaged by SRM Construction Company got injured, two of them critically when an explosion meant for the blasting of rocks for execution of construction work on 33 KM Gulabgarh-Machail road went off accidently. The eyewitness informed "Early Times" that the incident took place at around 9 AM when the labourers were busy in the routine work when all of a sudden a big bolder fell on the dump of explosive as a result of which it exploded causing injury to the five labourers. As soon as the incident took place, the labourers and people living in the adjacent area rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Primary Health Centre Atholi from where they were referred by the doctors to District Hospital Kishtwar. Keeping in view the critical condition of the two injured namely Ram Singh son of Dina Nath of Sanyas Padder and Vijay Kumar son of Rattan Lal of RS Pura Jammu were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for advanced treatment. The other injured were identified by the police as Jagdish Raj son of Kripa Ram of Kalakot Rajouri, Vijay Kumar son of Jahangir Nath of Akhnoor and Abhay Singh son of Gyan Singh of Pathankot. Police also registered an FIR and started its investigation. |
