Jammu, May 25: Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of External Affairs, Regional office Jammu celebrated its 3rd foundation day here today at Police auditorium Jammu with big fun-fare featuring the presentation of a unique show 'Dance Diversity of Jammu and Kashmir'. Air Commodore P.E. Patenge, YSM VM Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Jammu was the special guest on the occasion. Earlier welcoming the august gathering, Balwant Thakur, Regional Director of ICCR Jammu gave a detailed account about the two eventful years of ICCR in Jammu, he added that ICCR's Jammu Regional Centre was inaugurated by Dr. Karan Singh, President of ICCR on 25th May, 2012 and within a span of two years ICCR has established Jammu as an International destination of cultural happenings. A film featuring the introduction of ICCR by Dr. Karan Singh was also screened on the occasion. In the last two years , ICCR organized 37 major cultural events which included three International presentations. The first in the series to come from outside India was the dances of Zambia. This amazing presentation was an eye opener for everyone and people out here were exposed to the International standards of performances and presentations.
