Kishtwar, May 25: Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Home, R&B Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo chaired joint meeting of District Administration and Prominent Citizens, Sarpanches and other senior social activists of Kishtwar to take stock of developmental activities in the district. The meeting was attended by DC Kishtwar Mohammad Javed Khan, ADDC A S Chib, SP Kishtwar Sanjay Kotwal, ACR Kishtwar Sudershan Salaria, CPO Subhash Sharma besides the officers of PHE, Health, PWD, PDD, GREF and other department. The minister took a detailed review of core sectors including PHE, R&B, CA&PD and Education. He expressed his deep concern over the slow pace of work on prestigious Water Supply Scheme Naigad & sought detailed progress on the project from Executive Engineer PHE. He directed him to start the work immediately as people are facing acute shortage of water in the town. He also asked him to fully utilize the existing schemes so that people may get some respite from the scarcity of water. As the people present in the meeting highlighted the poor condition of various roads in the town and periphery especially the main National Highway, the minister was critical of GREF for neglecting the road. |
