UDHAMPUR, May 25: A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train engine today on Jammu-Udhampur railway track at Satyani near here. According to reports, at about 2:55 pm a train engine on its way from Udhampur to Jammu hit one pedestrian near Satyani (Roun Domail) area on Jammu-Udhampur railway track. The killed person was identified as Bishno Kumar Verma, 22, son of Madan Kumar Verma of Ranchi, Jharkhand. SHO, Government Railway Police (GRP) Inspector Farooq Ahmed rushed to the spot and took possession of the body and sent it to District Hospital, Udhampur for postmortem.
Meanwhile, GGRP registered a case and started investigation. |
