| Various KP orgs appeal for Unity | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 25 : A meeting of various organizations of Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) was held under the leadership of Pintoo Ji and took stock of the recent political change in the centre.
The organization members said that since 25 years of exile, the KPs are in disturbed state of mind and no proper remedy was sought to overcome and find a solution for permanent settlement of KPs. The organizational leaders said that KPs have always been made a political scapegoat . New Government at centre should take the community into confidence for general plebiscite for return and rehabilitation of KPs in the valley under Indian constitutional and judicial gurantees.
"We unanimously welcome the new policy of the central Government and we have great expectation from the Modi's government but it is the need of the hour to consult the KP community before any formulation of future programme and we demand to rehabilitate the community in a particular place with Union Territory Status in the valley so that they could have their political voice with all fundamental and political rights", said these leaders. |
