Jammu, May 25: MLA Bishnah, Ashwani Sharma today assured people of border town that all their pending issues will be taken up strongly and government will be forced to act accordingly. Addressing Sangarsh Rally at Arnia town of Bishanh Assembly constituency, which was attended by a large gathering of people, including Sarpanches and Panches, despite hot weather, MLA Bishnah, who is also the President of Jammu State Morcha (JSM), made it mandatory for himself to get people of Arnia out of the difficulties being faced by them since long. Coming down heavily on state government for not solving the issues of farmers of border areas, whose land has been taken up for border fencing, Sharma said. We will put pressure on government to resolve the long pending issues of providing compensation to border farmers. I have been raising this issue in state Assembly as well as in district development board meetings and now time has come to push government for lasting solution. He said that educated youth of border areas have not received much employment in the state and asked government to hold special recruitment drive for these youth so that they get equal share of employment in all sectors. He also demanded a degree college for Arnia town as students of this area have to travel a lot to reach college and upgradation of primary health centre Arnia to sub-district hospital. |
