| NPSU takes out candle march against political intervention in temple of learning | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 25 : Led by Sidhant Dogra, hundreds of National Panthers Student Union (NPSU) activists today took out a candle march opposite Prem Sweet Shop in New Plot area of the city against the unholy nexus between the Jammu University authorities and some touts being sheltered by the JU authorities who are hell bent to denigrate the temple of learning. Numbers of NPSU activists shouted slogans against the varsity administration as well as teachers who are sheltering these touts for some personal interests. The protest started from opposite Prem Sweet Shop in New Plot and culminated near Treasury, Sarwal area. Agitating students alleged that some of the influenced touts who have adjusted themselves in the University by admonishing the authorities of exposing their misdeeds have become masters of all the affairs of the varsity and maximum of the decision of the varsity are taken by these influential rather than the concerned faculty members. They suspected that if same will continue in the future, the day is not far when the temple of the learning will become their permanent abode to stay sidelining the educated staff and the same has adverse consequences. Pertinently, on May 21 an active student leader of National Panther Student Union (NPSU) Partap Singh Jamwal, was attacked by two student of Law department of Jammu University near old vice Chancellor's chamber. |
