Jammu, May 27: A President of mini-bus union received bullet injuries when he was shot at by some unidentified persons, alleged over old rivalry, riding a motorcycle near Ramnagar mini-bus stand at Vijaypur, this evening. The injured has been identified as Pardeep alias Tony son of Jagar Singh of ward no. 12 Vijaypur. Police sources said that incident took place this evening when the victim Pardeep was present at Ramnagar minibus stand at Vijaypur and all of sudden unidentified youth riding motorcycle appeared and shot at on him resulting bullet hit at his leg. After committing the crime, the assailants managed to escape from the spot and while the injured was immediately shifted to Accidental Hospital Vijapur. After preliminary treatment there, Pardeep was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital.
Later he was referred to Amritsar for advance treatment. SSP Samba, Atul Goel when contacted said that investigation in this regard is going on. |
