| Bailable warrants issued against DM Rajouri, Secy PCB | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 27: National Green Principal, Tribunal Bench New Delhi today issued bail able warrants against District Magistrate (DM) Rajouri and Member Secretary State Pollution Control Board (PCB) for not adhering/following the directions of the tribunal to check the illegal brick kilns in Dhangri Rajouri.
Sources said that recently directions were passed by the bench which were not honoured by the DM and Secretary State Pollution Control Board following which bail able warrants issued against them.
Here it needs to mention that Brick kilns in Rajouri hit the news on May 19 this year following District Administration Rajouri rescued 63 bonded labourers including half a dozen children from a brick kiln in Jhangar area of tehsil Nowshera in district Rajouri after a Delhi based NGO, namely Bonded Labours Liberation Front informed Deputy Commissioner Rajouri about the matter who directed Additional DC to initiate an inquiry into the matter. |
