Samba, May 27: To pay tributes to the Great Warriors and Martyrs of Samba including the first recipient of Maha Vir Chakra and Saviour of Kashmir, Brigadier Rajinder Singh, a Dogri Kavi Sammelan was organized at the Hall of "Veer Bhoomi" Samba.
President War Memorial Committee, Samba, CS Katal, President Nami Duggar Sanstha, Samba Branch and Shiv Charan Singh, President Veer Bhoomi Park Development Committee, Samba, in the evening.
The programme was preceded by the floral tribute at the War Memorial by Yash Pal Kundal, MLA, Samba, VK Sambyal, Station Director, Radio Kashmir Jammu, Mohinder Singh, Chairman, JCC Bank, Ravi Magotra and T.R.Magotra, Programmers of the Station and other VIP's, Poets and Local Representatives.
The Poets recited their poetry in honour of the Warriors in the Jam packed Hall included ND Jamwal, Bishan Singh Dardi, Balwan Singh Jamoria, Kuldeep Kippi, Chandu Bhau. Tara Chand Kalandhri, Dr. Jagdeep Singh Sambyal, Dr. Kuldeep Raj Dogra, Dr. Rattan Basotra, Pavittar Singh Salathia, C.S.Katal and Susheel Baigana. |
