New Delhi, May 27: Jet Airways posted the biggest ever quarterly loss of Rs 2,153.6 crore for the quarter ending March 31, 2014, up from the loss of Rs 495.5 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal. The Jet Airways lost Rs 4,129.7 crore in FY 2013-14 (its seventh straight annual loss), as opposed to Rs 779.8 crore lost in the previous fiscal. The group's total income increased only marginally from Rs 19,409.2 crore in the year that ended on March 31, 2013 to Rs 19,445.3 crore for the year which ended on March 31, 2014. However, Jet Airways' sales rose 16.4% to Rs 4,566.2 crore from Rs 3,921.9 crore in the year-ago period. Meanwhile, Jet has appointed Cramer Ball as its CEO. |
