SEECC highlights demands of aggrieved headmasters, lecturers

Kathua, May 27: School Education Employees Co-ordination Committee (SEECC) held its a meeting at Kathua to discuss the issue of incharge headmasters and 10+2 Lecturers under the chairmanship of Amar Nath Thakur Provincial President of the Forum.
The members in this meeting demanded the regularization and seniority benefit to all drop out I/C Lecturers who were senior in the eligibility list of 2011but ignored during regularization of I/C Lecturers in March, 2013. They also alleged that juniors have been regularized while many of them have been given the senior lecturer grade. "This is injustice and joke with them which is unacceptable and intolerable," Amar Nath Thakur and other speakers said.
They said that Education Department should regularize all drop out and incharge lecturers and headmasters as per the Supreme Court directions in the case titled Suraj Parkash Gupta, Government Order No. 743-GAD of 2007 dtd: 28/06/2007 and School Education Department SRO-481 dtd 30/12/2010. They also demanded that all Incharge Lecturers and Headmasters should be cleared by convening the department promotion committee at the earliest by the Commissioner/Secretary, School Education Department. Lecturers demanded running grade to plus two lecturer's equivalent to college lecturers. Meantime participants also appreciated the decision of the state cabinet to scrap the new recruitment policy and creation of 208 posts under RMSA for organizational set up at state and district levels. Speakers demanded to create separate directorate for Elementary Education to strengthen education at primary level.
Among those who spoke in this meeting were PP Singh, Surjit Singh, I/C Headmaster, Kuldeep Singh, Netar Singh, Kali Dass, Ravi Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Hem Raj, Pawan Sharma, Randhir Singh, Bodh Raj, Tara Sharma, Ashoni Sharma all Incharge lecturers.
