Jammu, May 27: Upset with government's failure to sort out long pending issues of employees, State Government Employees Joint Action Committee (SGEJAC) members on Monday threatened to intensify their agitation if their demands are not met. Meanwhile the SGEJAC members condemned the brutal lathicharge on the agitating employees. They said that despite several assurances as well as agreement reached between government and employees but nothing has been done on ground so far to address the issues of employees. They added that employees have facing hardship due to long pending demands including regularization of daily wagers, adhoc , contractual and consolidated workers, removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadres, payment of balance 6th pay commission arrears in cash, release of 10 percent Dearness Allowance, Implementation of defined pension scheme and budgetary support to the PSUs. They informed that a delegation of SGEJAC is leaving for Srinagar for State level meeting with their counterparts to chalk out strategy for further course of action.
