Doda, May 30: Police today claimed to have arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest for the last 14 years, police said.
According to police spokesperson, on specific information about the presence of accused wanted in a case FIR No 58/2000 u/s 302, 149, 201 RPC registered at P/S Assar, a police party of Police Station Assar conducted raid at his hideout and arrested accused Suresh Kumar S/o Budhi Kumar R/o Nelhote Assar from his house who was absconding since 2000.
Police said, "A warrant u/s 512 Cr.PC too was issued by the competent Court of law in case FIR No. 58/2000 U/S 302, 149, 201 RPC registered at P/S Assar." The accused will be produced before the court of law tomorrow, police said. |
