| Sham pays obeisance at Baba Faiz Baksh's Mazar | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 30 : Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Sharma yesterday visited the Balle Da Bagh, the mazar of Baba Faiz Baksh Syed Bukhari, 4 km away from Akhnoor on the occasion of Annual Urs.
The Balle Da Bagh is an historical 450-old-year shrine located on the right side of the Akhnoor-Jourian road in Jammu District and has high value among the village folk and it is believed that whosoever comes here, his wish is fulfilled.
Large number of devotees from different religions visits the shrine of Baba Faiz Baksh Syed Bukhari to celebrate his annual Urs. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister congratulated the people on the occasion of annual Urs and said that this utmost togetherness amongst people belonging to different communities spreads a message of communal harmony.
He said that this sacred shrine is equally important for the people belonging to all religions and faiths. He also prayed for peace and prosperity of the State.
Though the shrine appears like any ordinary mazaar, it has a special place in the minds of the local populace. |
