Jammu, May 30: Thunderstorm with showers brought some respite for Jammuities from hot weather conditions as the temperature had crossed 40 degrees celsius in the winter capital. "Early morning showers has dipped the soaring mercury as the maximum temperature recorded yesterday was 41.8 degrees Celsius, season's maximum," a weatherman today said. He said the drizzle has brought respite from the scorching heat, adding, "the tempertuare will keep fluctuating between 35 degrees to 40 degrees C. "The maximum and minimum temperature was recorded at 41.8 degrees C and 26 degrees C respectively," he said. The Weatherman, however, predicted possibility of light rain and thundershower in the next 24 hrs in Jammu with maximum temperatures 40 degrees C and & Minimum 25 degrees C. Earlier on May 1, Jammu recorded season's maximum 40.3 degrees C temperature. Meanwhile kids were seen enjoying the showers. Jammu and Kashmir Government had also announced Summer Vacations in the first week of June in the wake of prevailing weather conditiions. |
