Jammu, May 30 : PHD Chamber and Konarad-Adenauer-Stiftung, (KAS) today organized a workshop on 'CSR & Social Entrepreneurship' .The goal behind the workshop was to promote the concept of CSR & Social Entrepreneurship in the Jammu and Kashmir. While giving the welcome addressRahul Sahai, Senior Executive Member, J&K Committee, PHD Chamber said that the state needs more social awareness which should be spread to the grass root level and more corporate bodies should come forward in taking Corporate Social Responsibility as a priority. .Gulzar Ahmad Qureshi, Director, Industries & Commerce, Jammu explained the dynamics of CSR. He laid stress on skill development and capacity building of the youth of J&K. He asserted that Industry should take care of the workers and should have welfare provisions. Prof. Sudhir K Jain, Vice Chancellor, Mata Vaishno Devi University, Jammu enlightened about CSR and social entrepreneurship and asserted on the need for management understanding and commitment and involving staff in planning and to create a structured CSR plan. To bring benefits, CSR should be integrated into the business strategy and requires continuous attention. |
