Jammu, May 30 : In a much publicized Public Interest Litigation against alleged nexus politicians, police officers, bureaucrats allegedly in connivance with land mafia in various part of J&K for allegedly land-grabbing, A Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur today after hearing battery of lawyers granted one week's time to implement order dated April 24, 2014 whereby on April 24, 2014, Division Bench in an application filed by the petitioner seeking CBI probe in Roshni Scam, directed Deputy Commissioners of Jammu, Samba, Udhampur, Srinagar, Budgam & Pulwama, to ensure furnishing of revenue record as per the requisition of the SITs. The needful shall be done within a period of two weeks from today. Division Bench directed that a copy of the order be sent to the Deputy Commissioners belonging to districts Jammu, Samba, Udhampur, Srinagar, Budgam and Pulwama for compliance. They are further directed to file compliance report by the adjourned date. This directions has been passed when Division Bench gone through the status report filed by Director Vigilance in which it was submitted that Four Special Investigating Teams (SITs) each headed by the concerned branch SSPs of Vigilance organization were constituted for the purpose which initially covers six districts i.e Jammu, Samba, Udhampur, Srinagar, Budgam & Pulwama. In other words rest of the districts were to be covered on a subsequent occasion, and despite repeated requests made by the SITs and even by the Accountant General during audit, revenue record by the Deputy Commissioners has not been furnished.
