Early Times Report

Jammu, May 30 : Hailing the Modi led NDA government in centre, Jammu Coordination Committee (JCC) and J&K State BJP Beopar Mandal today described this is a highly positive development for the business community in the country.
Since the policies of BJP from its very inception have been pro business community and for promotion of business and trade in the country, the Chairman Jammu Business Coordination Committee and Convener J&K State BJP Beopar Cell Kulbushan Mohetra in a press conference hailed Union MoS commerce Nirmala Sitaraman's remarks regarding ruling out permission to FDI in retail business. "This is a highly positive step towards the interest of small business community in the country who can be hit hard with FDI being allowed in retail business, he added.
Speakers also welcomed the induction of Dr Jatinder Singh, MP from Jammu region into the Modi ministry, with important portfolios allotted to him.
They also supported the suggestion by MoS Dr Jatinder Singh to hold wide debate over the advantages and disadvantages of Article 370, which provide special status to J&K at the same time they deplored the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's statement that if Article 370 is removed, J&K will secede from India.
'This statement is seditious, speakers said adding, "The J&K state is not the fiefdom of Abdullah family for it to remain as part of India." Speakers cited the negative impact of Article 370 on the business, trade and the industry in J&K.
The Article is out and out against the interest of business community as it places hindrances in the way of industrialization and promotion of business and trade in J&K. Among others present in this press conference include Rajeev Langer, Rajesh Gupta, Munish and Pinki Jain (all co- conveners).
