BSF foils infiltration bid at Hira Nagar, blood stains found near IB

Jammu, June 3: The Border Security Force (BSF) troops, last night foiled an infiltration bid from across the in Kathua district when a suspect was trying to infiltrate from the International Border in Kathua, following which alert has been sounded in the border district. Meanwhile during searches the BSF found blood stains near fence substantiating the bid of infiltration. "The BSF troops last night at around 2040 hrs saw a group of suspects trying to enter into Indian Territory from a low lying area with thick vegetation towards Bobaiya Post in Hiranagar Sector and they challenged them," sources said. They said that the suspects, was pushed back towards Pakistan's side. Immediately after the activity of the suspected person along the IB, alert has been sounded and searches have been launched in the area, said sources.
Official BSF Spokesman said that after noticing suspicious movement of a suspect at around 2200 hrs at International Border, BSF troops challenged them besides opening fire towards the targeted side of the movements to retrain movements of suspect. BSF spokesperson said that one suspicious person from the Pak side trying to enter into Indian side from a low lying area with thick vegetation. "The movement was kept under close observation by the BSF troops on duty, BSF spokesperson said, adding, "at 2200 hrs the suspected person entered into the Indian territory." He said that BSF personnel on duty fired on target and forced suspicious persons from Pakistan side retreated back. Later on, during the search in the morning, a trail of blood stains was found, some 15 Mtrs ahead of fence (Indian Territory) upto International Border and forth. Meanwhile alert has been sounded along the Jammu-Pathankot highway and naka along the border villages have been strengthened as the local rivulet Tarnah nullah is just 14-15 kms away from the Jammu -Pathankot highway while searches along border are in progress.
