| Cong leaders hibernate, uncertainty grips PCC | | Polls aftershock | | Shakeel A Khan SRINAGAR, June 3: Pradesh Congress Committee is finding it very hard to cope with the situation that has risen after its fall from the height and its leaders aren't visible these days. The leaders have gone into hiding and distances in the rank and file within the party are quite visible. Leaders both from Jammu and Kashmir divisions have nothing to talk about as they have been outrightly rejected by the people during the last six years. The leaders of the Pradesh Congress Committee aren't in the good books it may not be wrong to say that these leaders got indulged into the acts, highly immoral in nature. "Be it the sex scandal, molestation bids or the allotment of the tenders, the Pradesh Congress Committee leaders have had a role in them, doesn't matter they were shielded by the party high command against the wishes of the people," said a group of people while talking to Early Times. This group of people opined that the leaders of Pradesh Congress Committee claim tall that their motto is to address the concerns of the people which turned out to be wrong. They said the Pradesh Congress Committee leaders are involved in crimes and they are a 'hurdle' in the delivery of justice. Political uncertainty has gripped the Pradesh Congress Committee with its leaders shell shocked. This committee has become the one man show these days. It is Saif-ud-Din Soz, who otherwise is not a distinguished personality, is making contradictory statements hence ruining the party. "The leaders of the Pradesh Congress Committee are the parasites who do nothing and aim high. These leaders are parasites in the party who take credit from the reputation of the party stalwarts as from that of the Ghulam Nabi Azad," said Zahoor Ahmad from Srinagar. Abdul Gani Vakil, Vice President of Pradesh Congress Committee was visibly happy at the defeat of Congress candidates from Jammu and at the same time he was grieved as well. He is grieved for the reason that he might have to contest Assembly elections from Rafiabad when the wind is blowing against the party. Taj Mohi-ud-Din is so disheartened that he may join the People’s Democratic Party as learnt from a news report carried in this daily. This way he wants to go for the welding of the crown which he feels is shaking on his head. Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed may not be interested in the politics as he may not be enjoying the Aashirwaad of Congress President, Sonia Gandhi. Sonia once came to his rescue when he was passing through a difficult time. Who will look after Peerzada now? Same is the case with Tourism Minister, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, who has been thrust on the people as they don't hold him high. As per the people, Mir is counting his last days. |
