| Sports infra decaying | | | Shiv Thakur Jammu, June 3: At a time when the Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council is gaga over construction of new sports infrastructure in Jammu and elsewhere in the state, the indifferent and incompetent administration of the Council is doing little to save the existing infrastructure from systematic decay. While sources in the Council attribute the pathetic condition of the stadia in Jammu to lack of foresight on part of the Council administration that in a bid to re organize the autonomous body stopped the promotion of senior coaches as managers stadia, leaving the administration at grass root level totally headless and unaccountable. Many a sportsmen at mini stadium Parade and a few parents complained of poor upkeep of the ground which was reduced to dust and mud. Mini stadium is not the only center suffering due to incompetence and ill planning of the council. Most other play fields including the main centre of MA stadium, KK Hakhu hockey stadium and others are decaying due to incapability of the Council administration.
