Jammu, June 20: Duping employees and cheating at the call centres has become a routine in Jammu and Kashmir and a similar instance has came to fore from a leading call centre "Access" which takes Airtell's calls in Jammu, where a lone bread earner of the family was duped by depriving him of his three month's salary. How pathetic?
The victim Vijay Mankotia, a resident of Nad (Samba) shared his pain with Early Times saying-"As I am the lone bread earner of my family and all liabilities are on my shoulders. In this tough time, I was denied of what I am in strong need of-my three months' salary".
Vijay said he joined the Call Centre on January 29, 2013 and worked there till March 2014 but having some urgent work at home, he left the office without intimating anyone. Admitting his mistake of leaving a private office without intimating any colleague or senior executive, he joined office again on the promise of a senior executive that he can claim his last salary of March month.
"After undergoing a training period of six to seven days, when I claimed my last salary, I was asked to claim the same after the completion of month period. So I worked for a month but again cheated", said Vijay Mankotia.
"Pacifying self, I worked between March 31, 2014 to May 8 continuously; I was not paid even a penny despite repeated requests, one day I went to had my lunch with permission of Team Leader and the moment I reached the office back, I was asked to quit the job without explaining my faults", Mankotia lamented.
Vijay further said that he had approached the HRs of the company several times but all went in vain as he was shown fake attendance sheets where his login was manipulated through others' IDs.
"What could be worse than the fact that I worked for 51 hours extra time during curfew period when clashes broke out in Kishtwar area but I was given just Rs. 1000 for this work when the actual amount I can claim is Rs. 3600", questioned Mankotia.
When Early Times Contacted HR, Acess, RajveerKour, she promised to release his salary after verification of some documents, but when the complainant met her in office, he was again cheated and shown the doors.
