Singh demands action against indisciplined Cong leaders

Kishtwar, June 20: Senior Congress leader and member Kishan Board Shamsher Singh Bhandari today demanded action against the indisciplined Congress leader involved in fanning trouble during party workers meeting at DakBanglowKishtwar chaired by former union Minister and leader of opposition in Rajiya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Shamsher Singh Bhandari while talking to "Early Times" said that such incident has given bad name to Kishtwar District and added that inaction on part of the party in recent past emboldened such elements.
He said that in case the party fails to initiate any action, such incidents will be repeated in future as well. He said that time has come for the party leadership to take some drastic steps for strengthening the party at grass root level in Kishtwar District.
A youth Congress leader Tilak Raj Shan said that the youth are the worst victims of Congress infighting. He said that many youths like him want to pledge the case of unemployment before Azad with the plea for making their adjustment in projects like 850 MW Rattle presently under construction in Drabshala area of Kishtwar District. He added that to his disappointment, he and many other youths fail to put forth the demand before the visiting party leaders. He said that such activities has demoralized the youths who are turning away from the party.
He also conveyed his message to party leadership to take strict action against the party leaders involved in fuming unrest during yesterday party meeting and also against those working against the interest of the party.48- year- old Congress worker FarooqTapal, father of three children said that he too was disappointed with yesterday incident.
He said that he was a dedicated party workers since last over 25 years and always plays his part in party activity since long. He said that he was jobless since last so many years after the completion of work in Dool-Hasti Power Project and add that he participated in the meeting by pinning hope that he will put forth his job placement case before the visiting leader. He said that despite shameful incident at Dak Banglow, Ghulam Nabi Azad will continue his efforts for making the adjustment of unemployed youth like him in Kishtwar power projects.
