Wazir apprised the ADDC Rajinder Singh Tara that it is a matter of serious concern that Government of J&K has failed miserably to provide basic need of the people i.e water and electricity in these hard days of hot summer season and people at every nook and corner of the state are protesting for want of electric supply and water and there are cuts of power supply from 16 to 20 hours a day and whatever remaining 4 to 8 hours power supply people are getting is fluctuating resulting into damages to electric goods. Wazir further said that electric failure has also added fuel to fire by stalling the power supply to water generating bodies and as a result the water supply has also effected at some places and the people are seen fetching water from tube well and other sources on their own vehicles. The failure of power and water supply has reached at such alarming position that masses are reeling under worst type of condition which may led to mass agitation for which Bahaujan Samaj Party has taken very serious view and asked the Addl. Deputy Commissioner that the matter be conveyed to the Government to restore electric /Water supply within a week's time else B.S.P will be left with no other alternative to come to streets.
