Sandeep Bhat JAMMU, July 3: Notwithstanding the unprecedented success it registered in the recently concluded Parliamentary elections by projecting Narendra Modi as PM candidate, State Bhartiya Janta Party shall not project a Chief Ministerial candidate in the coming Assembly elections. As per the sources, the state unit has not reached any consensus still on the name for Chief Ministerial candidate. PDP has already announced the list of candidates and most probably their Chief Minister candidate will be Mufti Mohd Sayeed. The state unit of Bhartiya Janta Party will announce the list of candidates in near future, this was stated by state BJP President and Member Parliament from Jammu-Poonch. Jugal Kishore Sharma while addressing the media persons in Jammu. Jugal Kishore, however, avoided questions about the name of the party's Chief Ministerial candidate and added only first list of candidates will be announced with four days. He further said that mission 44 will be accomplished and the party will fight on all the Assembly segments of the state. The Union Ministers and the member Parliaments of Bhartiya Janta Party will visit each Assembly segments of Jammu and Kashmir from July 25 onwards which include Smriti Irani, Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh, Dr. Harshvardan and others. |
