Jammu, Aug 2: Adding another feather in its cap the Jodhamal Public School could boast of its outstanding students who brought laurels to school and state as well by clinching the Gold Award under IAYP which was previously called as Duke of Edinburgh Award. School spokesperson in a press statement stated that six students from school namely Manika Sharma, Subhagya Pargal , Kritika Chopra, Devansh Suri, Simran Kour and Sayali Sharma under the guidance of their Award Leader & National Trainer for IAYP Ms Shallu Sharma have been felicitated with the Gold Award under IAYP and this presented to them by former Chief Election Commissioner of India, Dr SY Qureshi. The selection for the award is shortlisted from a huge participation called from all India and included students from schools like Lawrence School Sanawar, Wehlam Boys School Dehradun, Wehlam Girls School, Dehradun, Doon School Dehradun & Modern School, Vasant Vihar. "After joining IAYP, Jodhamal students have invested time for their personal development and in the development of valuable, practical and social skills to serve the community, the statement said adding, "over 1900 participants participated in the program in India each year and ouststanding students were awarded prestigious award. "Students awarded with the Gold Award have made a positive contribution to the society and play a vital role in empowering the youth, the statement added. |
