| Locals decry neglect of Lakhanpur-Basohli road | | | Kathua, Aug 2: Worst condition of Lakhanpur-Basohli road is adding miseries to the people of the surrounding village Dhana to raise their serious objections and demand from the state government to direct the concerned agency for its due repairing immediately. Locals from village Dhana situated on the wayside of the road alleged that road is totally in shambles is prone to accidents especially for the two wheelers. The passengers bound to Billawar, Basohali and Bani are facing problems due to slippery conditions just after little drizzle, they alleged and added though it was claimed to be an alternative route to valley bypassing the winter capital but the road in its deplorable condition indicates the approach of the concerned authorities including PWD and District administration.
Locals also alleged though movements of the VIP also passes through this stretch but no political party, Officer and even MLA/ Minister showed their interest for the development of this road. |
