Jammu, Aug 2: in a bizarre incident of bullying by influential, a teen was allegedly beaten up son of Influential Public Relation Officer (PRO) of a cabinet minister and his PSO at Barnai area over a small tiff. Police sources said that a group of six to seven persons led by son of Influential PRO Kewal Sharma and one of his PSO intercepted a minibus at Barnai locality in city outskirts and handpicked one Rakesh Singh Jamwal, s/o Rasaal Singh of Domana, a student of DBN School and then started beating him over a petty issue. Later, the victim approached Domana Police Station and he was shifted to Govt Hospital Marh for medical treatment from where doctors referred the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu for advanced medicare.While talking to Early Times, the injured Rakesh Singh alleged that he was going home in a minibus and when it reached near Barnai, the minibus was intercepted by son of PRO Kewal Sharma who was accompanied by a cop and six to seven youth who later beaten him.
He further alleged that when he reported the matter with the local police it initially forced him to hush up the matter. Pertinently, son of PRO Kewal had assaulted a youth in Ananad Nagar and in that case too, the matter was got patched up. |
