Rajouri, Aug 2: A girl allegedly has been raped by a boy with an active involvement of another girl who is in close acquaintance with the victim. The police have registered a case in this regard and have launched manhunt to nab the accused.
"The accused has been identified namely as Ramiz Raja s/o Mushtaq Ahmed of Azmatabad presently residing in Jawhar nagar while the co-accused has been identified namely as Mehnaz Akhter, police said quoting complainant.
According to police sources a 19 years old girl lodged a complaint with Police Station Rajouri that a boy has raped her while confining her in a room for hours.
Quoting the victim, police sources said, "The victim has alleged that another girl namely Mehnaz Akhter from the locality is also involved in the crime as she took her to a room in Jawhar Nagar locality of Rajouri in the pretext of meeting her sister where the accused overpowered her and committed the crime."
Following the complaint, the Police got the victim medically examined while a case against FIR 401/2014 u/s 376, 342, 109 RPC too stands registered at Police Station Rajouri.
Police said that massive manhunt has been launched to apprehend the accused involved in the crime. |
