| Female dental surgeons' hunger strike enters day 33 | | | Jammu, Aug 2: The strike of dental surgeons under the aegis of Dental Surgeons Association Jammu Kashmir (DSA-JK) today continued for 33rd consecutive day. Dr. Pawan Singh Jasrotia, the Chairman of the association said that despite being on roads for 33 days, they were still awaiting any positive response from the government side. Female hunger strike which entered its 21st day today is also not able to awake the govt. from its deep slumber yet. Dr. Singh further said that today a mass of dental surgeons have made an attempt to stop the squad of Jenab Ghulam Nabi Azad (opposition leader in Rajya Sabha) by showing a banner when he was travelling to Udhampur for a convention there. This is being a good self of Jenab Ghulam Nabi Azad that he stopped his car and listened to the grievances. Azad asked for the memorandum and assured to talk with the concerned authorities as earliest. Dr. Singh also said that the jkpcc president Prof. Saif-u-din soz have called the delegation of dental surgeons association at his residence today in the evening around 7 pm. |
