Jammu, Aug 2: Condemning the present regime to fan out recent controversy with denial of Kousar Nag Yatra from valley, the students of various colleges under the banner of Jammu Joint Student Union (JJSU) today staged protest demonstration at Government Degree College (GDC) Paloura. Led by Nitish Sharma (Vice President NPSU) protesting students raised slogans against the state govt and demanded to revival of yatra at earliest from valley route. Speaking on the occasion, Nitish Sharma expressed shock on the grave incident of 'Kaushar Nag Yatra' stopped by the State government under the excuse of maintaining law and order in the Valley. Speakers said that every time any pilgrimage in valley starts and these activities are targeted by some political mentors to polarize voters. They also mentioned that earlier two sacrilegious incidents were reported in Basholi and Ramban around Eid and now Kaushar Nag yatra was interrupted by the State government which clearly shows that the State government is playing in the hands of some elements which area hell bent to create a divide among the people in the Valley and in Jammu as well with an aim of vote-bank politics. Among others present on the occasion included Atal, Lucky, Varun, Smile Sharma, Dilver Singh, Neeraj, Rohit etc. |
