Jammu, Aug 3 : Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shant Manu along with IGP Jammu Rajesh Kumar, DC Kishtwar Mohd Javed Khan, SSP Kishtwar Sanjay Kotwal and Machhail Yatra Officer Kartar Singh visited the holy shrine of Machhail and took on the spot review of yatra arrangements there. Hundreds of yatri vehicles have been reaching Gulabgarh, Padder daily from where the yatris have to trek 32 kms on foot or horse back to reach the abode of Mata Chandi Devi in Machhail. Helecopter service upto the shrine has also been started. Shant Manu held interactions with members of Sarva Shakti Sevak Sanstha, yatra officer and yatris at Machhail Bhawan and took stock of arrangements regarding accomodation, medical facilities, drinking water, langers, and other essential commodities while the IGP reviewed security arrangements along the whole yatra route. The members of Sarva Shakti Sevak Sanstha Kishtwar informed them that thousands of yatrees are visiting Machhail daily to have darshan of Mata Chandi Devi whereas the Chhari Mubarak will reach Kishtwar on 18th of August and on 19th, it will proceed towards Gulabgarh Padder. On 20th, the Chhari, enroute to holy sharine of Maa Chandi, will stay at Massu, on 21st at Chishoti and on 22nd of August it will reach at Machhail. Shant Manu gave necessary instructions to district administration Kishtwar for the peaceful and smooth conduct of yatra. Machhail Yatra officer Kartar Singh informed that a total No. of 2044 yatrees have performed darshan at Machhail Shrine upto 2nd August 2014. |
