Jammu, Aug 3: Two times Lok Sabha member and former Health Minister, Choudhary Lal Singh, ultimately learnt first lesson of BJP after he approached local party leaders for joining the party. Choudhary Lal Singh, who has been publically announcing that he has direct link with the central BJP leader so there is no need to approach local unit, has realized that BJP is not Congress. Realizing that stand taken by the local leadership against would be proved costly for him in the days to come, Choudhary Lal Singh on Saturday evening approached local BJP leaders and try to give message of peace. Highly placed sources in the BJP said that central leadership of party had made it clear to Choudhary Lal Singh said that without taking local unit into confidence it will be not in a good taste for the party to induct him. After getting clear signal from the BJP high command, Lal Singh approached local BJP leaders. When Lal Singh approached BJP leaders they were attending a meeting. The two times Lok Sabha member had to wait for nearly one and half hour outside the venue where BJP leaders were sitting for an audience. Credible sources said that BJP leaders deliberately kept Lal Singh waiting to teach him a lesson. State unit of BJP is annoyed over the way Lal Singh, had been behaving for the quite some days. Some central leaders, who were instrumental in entry of Lal Singh in the BJP, made it clear to the former Congress leader that ignoring local unit was impossible for them so it would be better for him to himself approach local leaders. Without taking local leadership into confidence, he was openly declaring that BJP national president Amit Shah is coming to Kathua on August 12to induct him into the party. He had also told his workers that he has direct communication with BJP high command so there was no need to approach local unit. As reported earlier, local leaders had opposed decision of the high command to induct Lal Singh into the party without taking them into confidence. |
