| Four commit suicide in different incidents across city | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 3: Sunday just turned a 'day of suicides' wherein four persons including a minor girl committed suicide by hanging in separate incidents at different places across city. According to police sources, a 32 year-old supervisor of JK Oil Mills committed suicide by hanging himself at his rented accommodation at Model Town Gangyal. The deceased has been identified as Vikram Singh son of Ravinder Singh of Dowlni. Police sources said that he was staying in a rented accommodation at Sector No 1 Gangyal and last night he was alone in the house as his wife had gone to her parental house. Today in the morning locals got suspicious as foul smell was coming out of the deceased's room, immediately informed the police. Police broke open the door and found him hanging with the hook of a ceiling fan of his room. After collecting circumstantial evidences police shifted body to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H). Meanwhile, a 15 year-old girl committed suicide by hanging self with branch of a tree near her hut at Palotli Mangotrian. "Deceased has been identified as Shanti Devi of Uttar Pradesh presently at Patoli", said police sources adding that the body was found hanging with branch of a tree near her hut in Patoli Mangotrian. After noticing hanging body, locals informed police who immediately reached the spot and shifted the body to the mortuary of GMC&H. In another incident, a youth was found hanging in a bathroom of his house, this morning in Patoli area. The deceased was identified as Vishal Sharma of Patoli. Police said that after noticing him hanging, family members immediately shifted him to GMC&H where he was declared as brought dead. Police further said that a man identified as Bimal Kumar son of Vijay Kumar Gupta of Sarwal committed suicide by hanging at his residence. He was found hanging at his home and was immediately shifted to GMC&H where he was declared as brought dead. Police said that after post-mortem, all the bodies were handed over to their family members for last rites and cases have been registered at concerned police stations for further investigation. |
