Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 10 animals rescued 8/4/2014 12:04:23 AM Early Times Report KATHUA, Aug 3: Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued ten animals at Chadwal on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway. Police sources said that based on specific information, Rajbagh Police led by SHO Sachinder Pal Singh laid a trap near Chadwal and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AT 8767. During checking of the vehicle, police recovered ten bovine animals which were transported to Srinagar from Punjab. The driver of the truck, however, managed to escape, sources added. A hunt on the part of police was in progress to arrest him.
