Jammu, Aug 3 : J&K Gorkha Sabha today elected Karuna Devi as new president of the J&K Gorkha Sabha in Gorkha Nagar Jammu. Karuna Devi has been declared president of J&K Gorkha Sabha unopposed on 02-08-2014 in front of huge gathering as only one nomination had been received by the chairman election committee of Gorkha Sabha.
The Oath ceremony will be take place shortly. After that the members of governing body, executive members and other office bearer shall be notified separately.
Addressing the members, the newly appointed president Karuna Devi assured that he will selflessly work for the welfare and botherhood of Gorkha community. On the occasion Ravi Chhetri, Ram Bahadur, Janak Bahadur, Laxmi Singh, Rajinder Singh, Kumar Singh, Mohinder singh, Prem Bahadur, Sonu Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Sagar Singh Adhikari, Sanjay Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Jai Dev Kumar, Vipan Kumar, Suraj Parakash, Raju Bist, Rajesh Kumar, Anup Kumar congratulated the newly elected president by garlanded him and also wished him good luck for future. |
