JAMMU, Aug 3: Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) today promised to formulate comprehensive policies for youth and farmers of the State to address their grievances. Party observed that every section of the society has suffered during the tenure of present regime, youth and farmers were the worst victims because this government lacks vision to solve their problems. Addressing series of public meetings at Kotli, Vyaspur and Badyal Brahamana, former Rajya Sabha member and PDP candidate for Suchetagarh assembly segment, Trilok Singh Bajwa today said that due to deficiency in monsoon this year, farmers were facing hardship. Huge chunk of land remained uncultivated due to monsoon deficiency; he pointed out and regretted that government has not made any contingency arrangement to provide irrigation facilities to the farmers. Bajwa pointed out that water pumps installed by the farmers in the fields were not working due to worst ever power crises. "This year's sowing season has almost passed but authorities have not made arrangements to save the situation from further worsening", he regretted but assured the farming community that PDP would formulae a comprehensive policy for the farmers to solve their grievances. Meanwhile, senior PDP leader and party candidate for Jammu West Assembly segment, Daman Bhasin, while addressing series of meetings, assured the people that solution of their day today problems was top agenda of PDP. Bhasin, while addressing a meeting of youth, exhorted the younger generation to participate in PDP's campaign for change in the State. He assured that PDP would formulate an exclusive policy to address problems of the youth of J&K. |
