GAWS initiates Swachh Bharat Abhiyan 10/5/2014 11:06:23 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 5: Garden Avenue Welfare Society (GAWS) Guest House Road Jammu today initiated Swachh Garden Avenue Abhiyan as part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Residents of the colony assembled this morning with brooms and garbage bins to clean the main road of the locality by them. Gradually almost all residents participated and ensured that they clean the main roads first and then the by-lanes. Dr Yudhister Gupta Chairman of the Society was the first to pick up the broom followed by Ranbir. K. Nanda and others who wanted to set an example for themselves that Cleanliness is next to Godliness. The garbage was collected and neatly shifted to the bins. It was a rare scene where men took the initiative that they are as much concerned with SWACHHTA as the women at home who were cleaning their houses and area outside the houses.
