Following allegations of nepotism, NRHM recruitments under scanner | | | Bivek Mathur
Jammu, Oct 5: Following allegations that the interviews for various posts in National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) were conducted clandestinely without any advertisement and prior information to the appearing candidates to accommodate favourites, NRHM recruitment has come under scanner. According to a candidate, a print advertisement was published in a daily English newspaper of Jammu for various posts including 16 posts of Consultants (RMNCH+A), one post of District Programme Manager, 16 posts of DEIC Manager (RBSK), two posts of District Account Manager, one post of District Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, three posts of Block Account Manager, one post of Block Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, 25 posts of Accounts Manager at District Hospitals and two posts of District Monitors in NRHM on September 2, 2014. When candidates appeared for the interview for the above mentioned posts at the fixed venue at Mission Director National Health Mission, J&K Jammu office: Regional Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Nagrota Jammu with the requisite documents, the candidates were asked to appear for the same interview on September 22. Further, when candidates appeared for the same interview at same venue, they were directed to be in touch of the same newspaper in which the print advertisement was carried on September 2 for a new print advertisement over the same subject on September 24 but finding no advertisement in this context when aspirants called on the toll free number given in the advertisement of September i.e. 18001800104, the number was found out of order. Irked over this, aspirants reached the venue to confirm the fate of the interview, they were taken by surprise that the interviews for these posts have been conducted on September 24 without any prior information to the candidates who have written their contact numbers as well on the Application forms. Pertinent to mention here that the applications were invited from 'eligible' candidates for contractual hiring of services under National Health Mission, J&K but when interviews were conducted eligible were sidelined and ineligible were given preference. |
