Jammu, Oct 5: A meeting of Mirza Organization for Upliftment of Downtrodden and Backward People, Jammu was held under the leadership of its president Mirza Bhatti and resolved to offer the Srinagar Municipal Corporation and Jammu & Kashmir government for providing volunteer labour near about 300-400 for operating the cleanliness drive in Srinagar where debris and filth has been piled due to flood. While addressing the meeting, he said that Srinagar city had been badly hit by flood and debris and filth, and Srinagar city had be converted into a garbage city, which is matter of concern. He added that his organization is committed to clean the Srinagar, if government accepts some terms and conditions that for the welfare of volunteers, who are ready to go to clean the Srinagar despite the fear of being sick. He said that government should provide all equipments needed for the cleanliness including JCB, vehicles with driver & fuel, water pump fitted vehicle with driver & fuel, motor pumps for cleaning filth and other material used for cleanliness, besides Rs 750 per day for per labour, insurance for all labours, to and fro expensive for labour, comfortable shelter for labour for night stay, in case any illness complete and good treatment for the labour, food and other necessary eatable & drinkable for labour, all kind of insurance accommodating accident and incident and complete comfort for labour. |
