Srinagar, Oct 26: Like many other failures in kitty, not regularizing more than 40,000 need base employees' working in different government departments according to employees was merely cheating by Omar led coalition and is only confirmation for National Conference leadership to get ready for major defeat in upcoming assembly elections. Need base employees of different departments including Public Health Engineering (PHE) numbering around 40,000 who according to the official figures have completed 22 years while working as need bases daily wagers instead of government schedule of seven years according to the President National Trade Union Front, Abdul Gafoor Dar are eligible as per all canons of the law of the land to get regularized were merely cheated by coalition government during their tenure and kept their career lingering unnecessarily and unethically until next government is formed in Jammu and Kashmir. "Omar led coalition only cheated families of more than 40,000 need base employees, we were given written agreements, Omar who was Chief Minister himself assured us, but now when no such commitment was fulfilled despite lathicharge on our poor employees and protests in Jammu, in Kashmir, there is no second opinion except the fact that cheating with employees was a major failure of this government."Said Abdul Gafoor, President National Trade union front and member of EJAC. Pertinently during last hours of recently summed up coalition government many revelations came to fore about the regularization of need base employees after former Minister for PHE and flood control Sham Lal Sharma resigned from his portfolio. Sharma after resigning alleged that government delayed the regularization of daily wagers and some cabinet ministers wanted to get their own men absorbed ahead of deserving daily wagers in PHE department. Pertinently NC was the only political party of Kashmir which pleaded to election of India for deferment of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and has already been declared a weak competitor in the race of upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir by many political commentators. |
