NSA Ajit Doval to visit Burdwan blast site, meet Mamata on Monday | | | Agencies
NEW DELHI, Oct 26: National Security Advisor Ajit Doval will visit Burdwan on Monday along with top officials will visit the Burdwan on Monday after serious views of the revelations of a terror network in West Bengal which carried out the October 2 blast. Doval along with officials from home ministry, Intelligence Bureau, Research and Analysis Wing and the NSA will will personally look into the ongoing investigation. Doval will also meet Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and it is being reported that the NSA will deliver PM Narendra Modi's personal message asking for "full support" of the state government in carrying out the investigations on an al Qaeda affiliate terror group taking root in the border state. On October 11 with the consent of Trinamool Congress government, the Union home ministry had transferred the case to the NIA. Two two suspected members of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh were killed in an accidental blast in a house at Khagragarh village of Burdwan on October 2. Four people have been arrested so far and the NIA has concluded that the IEDs recovered from suspects were meant to be transported to Bangladesh. |
