Jammu, Oct 26: Up in arms against unprecedented delay in releasing of salary of Teachers and Masters under SSA, Rehbar-e-Talim Teachers Forum appealed govt to release their salary without any further delay. In the monthly meeting held under the chairmanship of Vinod Sharma, the ReT teachers said that due to the prevailing situation, families of affected teachers are at the verge of starvation and the Government must ensure streamlining of pay system in Education Department. Vinod Sharma on behalf of ReT Teachers Forum appealed the state and central government to release funds under SSA so that several months salary of regularized RET teachers under SSA be released. He said that these ReT Teachers are without salary for last three to eight months in different districts of the state and are facing a lot of problems. He further added that even on the occasion of festivals like, Eid and Diwali these teachers remained without salary and were unable to celebrate these festivals. He also appealed the education department and Finance department to take up the matter with the concern HRD Ministry for the release of funds under SSA so that these thousands of teachers may get their salaries at the earliest.
