Shopkeeper fires at man, arrested | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 26 : Panic gripped the posh Channi area near Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) after a shopkeeper shot at another shopkeeper over a minor issue resulting injuries to latter. Identity of the injured has been established as Kapil Gupta son of Narinder Gupta resident of Sector 3 in Channi Himmat. Police sources said that late night Narinder Gupta who runs a general store in sector 3 along with family members came out of his house to see off his relatives. In the meantime he had some altercation with another shopkeeper Parveen Singh Charrak alias Pammi son of Kuldeep Singh Charrak of Udhampur presently at Sector 3 in Channi Himmat over a petty issue resulting Parveen shot at three fires at Kapil. "Out of three fires, one hit one leg of Kapil resulting severe bleeding to him", said source. Sources further said that after hearing gun shots, CRPF personnel immediately reached the spot and inform the police about the incident. After getting the information, police reached the spot immediately and shifted the profusely bleeding Kapil to Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar. After preliminary treatment, he was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) for advance treatment. Meanwhile, police team led by Inspector Aijaz Wani, SHO Channi Himmat and SDPO East, Rafiq Manhas raided the rented house of Pammi, arrested him and recovered licensed revolver from his possession. |
