| RKSP reconstitutes state body, fields Gupta from Jammu East | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 3: National President Rashtriya Krantikari Samajwadi Party (RKSP), Gopal Rai today dissolved state unit to give a fillip to the state unit before the state election and has appointed a senior leader of Congress Rajesh Gupta as its state president and has fielded him from Jammu East assembly segment.
While addressing the press conference meet, Rai said that the existing state unit of the party has completed its term and there was a need to revive the state unit as the assembly elections are round the corner.
He further said it was long pending demand of the workers to revive the party and to change the state president and other office bearers so that new and experiences people should come forward.
"Rajesh Gupta has worked in Congress for last 35 years but now is feeling suffocated due to wrong policies of Congress and corruption within the party, Rai said. Authorizing the Rajesh Gupta for constituting the state committee, Rai said that Gupta is authorized to constitute the state committee and that to be conveyed to the central office.
Rai said that Rajesh Gupta will contest assembly election from the Jammu East constituency and is authorized to issue party mandate to contesting candidates.
Speaking to media persons, Rajesh Gupta attributed wrong policies and nepotism within Congress forcing him to desert the party.
He said that despite debacle in Lok Sabha election, the Congress yet had not learnt any lesson. |
