srinagar, Nov 3: A few days after the son of a Deputy Inspector General of Police uploaded the pictures about the Dabaang life style of his Dad, the son, of a close aide of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, joined the race. In a brazen display of power the son of a National Conference leader Nasir Aslam Wani is seen brandishing a gun in a photo which has been uploaded on a social networking site.
The pictures have gone viral on the internet and have triggered a debate in the virtual world. The picture shows the son of NC Provincial President brandishing an AK-47 riffle and he being surrounded by the JKAP personnel somewhere in Jammu and Kashmir. Many netizens have termed it as a "foolish act" aimed at impressing others.
Soon after the attempt of Nasir's son was caught by news channels NC leadership quickly defended the son of their Provincial president. "Pictures have been blown out of proportion. Nasir Aslam's son is only posing with a gun and is not threatening anyone. It is a usual thing on social networking sites by people across the globe," the NC spokesperson said.
The former Minister of State for Home Nasir Aslam Wani recently hogged the headlines after he lost his cool in a party convention and kicked a party worker in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district and his action was resented by other workers who later warned of election boycott if the party leaders don't change their attitude towards them.
Son's brazen display of power can put Wani in a tight spot as election campaigning is on and he is all set to contest from Amira Kadal constituency on the NC ticket. Besides the party taking the exception to the act, security agencies may also order an inquiry to know how come the son of a politician managed to get a gun and uploaded his pictures on the social networking site.
Pertinently, during the recent past the Cyber cell of the Jammu and Kashmir police have booked many youth for uploading comments, pictures and running fake face book pages.
Pertinently, the son of DIG- Jammu- Kathua range, Shakeel Ahmed Beigh and uploaded the pictures about the lavish lifestyle of his Dad under the title Dad and I on a social networking site Instagram. It had triggered a debate across the country following which the Director General of Police K Rajendra ordered a probe into the matter.
