| RO Basohli convenes meeting of BLOs | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Nov 3: Returning officer, Basohli (SDM Basohli) Gurmukh Singh convened a meeting of Both Level Officers (BLOs) at PWD Rest House here today. Observer for Election Trainings KR Sharma, Principal Government Degree College Basohli, BDO Basohli, CDPO and BLO's attended the meeting. While addressing SDM Basohli impressed upon the BLOs to submit the reports regarding the condition of their respective polling booths and the basic minimum facilities and sensitivity of the polling booths so that basic minimum facilities could be provided at the polling booths with proper security cover for sensitive polling booths. Under SVEEP, team comprising of Aganwari workers, Gram- sevaks, teachers and Asha workers will be constituted for door to door campaign to aware the voters to cast their votes. He informed the meeting that BDO and CDPO are the Nodal officers for the SVEEP programme and stressed upon the BLOs to ensure the 100% enrolment of all eligible votes in their respective areas as they have to submit a certificate with regard to 100% enrolment of eligible voters compulsorily.
The directions were passed to the BLOs for submitting daily reports to SDM office telephonically. He further informed that all BLOs are presumed with Election Commission of India and if any BLO will participate in any political activity strict action will be taken against him. He apprised that Election Commission of India has given a target of 90% polling for the constituency and officers/officials have to work with dedications and zeal to achieve the target.
There will be awards for the best performing BLO's. |
